You dont show a picture but originals were autolites. Steve @B&B rebuilt mine, including rewinding the armature for 12 volts, he may be able to tell you something. i could get the numbers off the tag on mine but wont be able to till this evening.

Dave, I looked on my UC and it doesn't have a tag.
The parts book says - for the Continental engine Auto-lite # MAB-4003 and for the UM's Auto-lite MAB-046 don't know if that's any help or not Joe |

Hi guys I have found that a starter off a Moline ZA we'll drop right in. Only thing to remove is the solenoid. Delco 1107905- It has the right nose & Bendix

MAB-4046 is a good number. There are a whole laundry list of numbers when you get into the power units and crawlers which may have been subbed on to a U or UC over the years. All of these units for the most part use the same parts. If they use MAB-4046 it should get them on the right track. If something isn't adding up, post or PM and I can dig up my list and give you some other numbers.

I agree the MAB number is the right number for an auto light starter. Since I've struggled to find an auto light I have been looking for a Delco replacement... And this one off a Moline is a perfect fit.

A Case D, DC, S, or SC, will all fit correctly. Also, they were factory Autolite. All you have to do is drill a new set screw hole, as they are clocked slightly different than a UM engine starter. Been using them for years, and this way you maintain the correct look for the tractor as well. THere is also one on EBAY right now for an SC, I noticed.
