170 and wd value?

What would the value be of a 170 gas that is very rough but is complete and In need of a engine overhaul? Aslo what is value of a wd that is rough and complete but it doesn't run?

Very little for both.  They are both rough and not running/need rebuilding, your best bet would be to either part them out or send them to China.  If they weren't rough, I would probably rebuild the engine. and go from there.  No more than $1000 for the 170 and $250 for the WD.

Depends tires pretty good? or shot? Have to start looking at what the pieces are worth also depends if you do engine over hauls yourself or hire it all done.

And if the One-Seventy is a runner, take it down a steep hill in 3rd gear high side at full throttle and cut back fully on the throttle to see if it jumps out of 3rd gear. That long shift lever was a bad idea, as it allows more grinding of the gears by an abusive operator.

You can fix a broken tractor and you're good to go,with a worn out one repairs never ends.
