I'm working on a 1937 WC with the 201 block and it only has the larger studs around the cylinders and not the 3 smaller studs on the lifter side of the engine block. There are no holes in the block for the studs it's just a flat casting with the push rods and water jacket openings. Was this a early 201 thing or what? It has a 3 inch head with holes for the extra studs. I'm guessing it's a later head though.

Thank you, should there be any concern with using the later head that has the holes?
