I need some advice on installing the return control lever spring on my 52 B hydraulic assembly.  I have the spring which appears to need  compressing before installing onto the shaft.  How is a good way to do this?  I would like to do this while it is mounted on the transmission if possible.  All ideas will be appreciated.
