Trip bucket loader questions

   I'm looking at a trip bucket allis loader to put on a d17. Does anyone have a picture of the different loader models? I've searched through google images and found a 100a owners manual that looks similar to it maybe. Has anyone added a set of cylinders for tilt, and a double acting valve plumbed into the back outlet to run both? I was going to use the original one way cylinders with it for the lift.

	This is ONLY MY opinion, here but 1-way lift and narrow trip bucket are useless in today's world!!! LOL!!---You probably could still use the loader itself by converting to 2-way lift cyls. and wide bucket with 2-way hyd. dump! thanks; ac fleet

	Sorry I didn't mention I was going to add a quick attach coupler on the front so I can use my skidsteer attachments. I mainly just wanted it for pallet forks and a bucket maybe. The loader I am looking at is $200 and local.

	7060-- There are several loaders out that will fit, Allis 400/500 series with dual hydraulics, Allis 100 series, and New Idea 501 (I believe through 506). There are several others out there that are very nice as well, those were just some of the ones we have used. You can make almost anything work by adding valves, long as your cylinders are compatible for pressure. I wouldn't under-mind the trip bucket so fast, my father still uses his in the feedlot with a WD-45 and a slightly modified 40" bucket! He can run circles around my 175 with the larger bucket loading manure, don't need any down pressure on concrete, just puts more wear on the tractor. BTW-- he's currently looking for a good 40" bucket for those that may not have a need for them anymore and are close to Maryland;) I have not had any luck getting pictures on here--sorry, can't help you on that end. 	I have a model #17 trip bucket on my gas D17 IV. Not the correct cylinders, so can't lift as much (only about 1,000 pounds), but boy I use the heck out of that tractor and loader. Yes, a hydraulic bucket would be nice, but if you do things right you can learn how to operate it so it functions well. I also have a model #180 trip bucket loader on my one-eighty. It has the correct cylinders, so can lift a lot more weight. And once you learn how to operate it, can do a lot with it. So, if you can't adapt it to a hydraulic bucket, it is still a useful piece of equipment.

	The Model 100A loader would be too narrow for your D-17. It came out for the D-10 and D-12 Series II and Series III. For an original Allis Trip Bucket loader: First ones in 1957 were a Model 17, double tube boom and tube frame. Later it was revised to a single tube boom. Next was the Model 170, had a Box Frame Boom, tube frame on tractor. Then the Model 170 was revised to have a Fox Frame on the tractor. All these loaders had a 40 inch 5 tine bucket. Gary

	The bucket on this loader is pretty much junk, I was looking at it for the loader arms and mounts. I bought a series 3 d17 from a widowed lady whose husband bought it new. I don't really need 2 D17's unless I could add a loader to it maybe. I thought if it would move pallets around and maybe a bale of hay I would keep it. 	7060 In the Craigs List pictures, 4th picture from the left: That is a picture of the L/H Loader Frame that gets bolted to the Tractor. In the picture you can see a silver plate. That is the Manufacturers ID - re Model and Serial Number. Here is a link to Allis Chalmers Parts Catalog that should help you tremendously. 	I STILL have an AC / Freeman 100 loader frame and bucket that came off my B. Best of all, the price.... FREE! Come and get it before the torch does. Less cylinders....
