Threw the chain on my spreader last week, got to unload it by hand. Figured now would be the time to do repairs on it while it's apart.
I know some newer spreaders have Rhino-lining in the beds. The boards in my bed and sides are OK, no rot, but was wondering if anyone ever lined one with Rhino-lining or Linex or similar, like they do with truck beds. I've always lined the beds of my trucks, works great, just wasn't sure about doing a spreader. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

I know some of the new mini-spreaders that the horsey people buy come with the liner factory installed, so it must work.

wood boards? if rhino is used, they may rot out from underneath, try a few sheets of that white slick PVC stuff on the floor and sides. me thinks that the rhino stuff will just wear off or peel off if it gets a tear in it.

Won't new wood outlast the rest of the spreader?

There was a time when we bought 4x8x1/2 sheets of hard plastic for general use. Consider removing and saving the wood and replacing it with plastic. Only problem you'll have is that it is slippery when wet.
