7050 had it for 14 years hi-lo went out slowly lever moves back and forth freely like a connector wire shaped is it easy to fix works without it in low

Are you referring to the buttons on the floor, that is the only thing I think that could go out "Slowly"

Or are you referring to the high low "lever" on the side console? I can't imagine that going slowly, as it is a mechanical gear shift?? These are known for broken cable ends, and tight cables. A couple hundred in cables and end parts will typically get you back in business.

If on the other hand you are referring to the buttons on the floor, that is a hydraulic two speed power shift clutch, and it can certainly cost some dollars, especially if by "slowly" you mean it was operated for a long time slipping,until it stopped working all together.

The 7050 high, low, park cable is clamped at the rear of the tractor with a rather flimsy U shaped clamp. It uses two allen head capscrews to secure it. They have a habit of getting loose and that allows the outer shell of the cable to slip. The cable has a notch in it so that you get it located properly. The later tractors used a U bolt that was a much improved version.
