AC 220 brakes

   I'm looking for any advise or instructions your experience can offer.  I'm working on a 220 which has seen almost no use for a long period.  The left brake pedal is stuck about 2" lower than the right one.  Both are very stiff to push down.  The pivot shaft above the pedals is not seized and the pedals move freely on it.   This a late production unit (305th last one built ) and it has only 2800 hours.  Am I correct in assuming it has disc brake assemblies?  Where should I start looking and what should I expect to find?  Were there common issues with these brakes especially from lack of use?  Your advise is appreciated.

	take them a part and scuff them up clean. the discs will need to be hit with a 36 grit rollock pad. and then they should work.

	After replacing the discs in my 220, I found that the accuator shafts that go into the brake housings can get rusty and need attention to move freely also. This could partially explain why the pedals aren't making anything happen. You would need to crawl under and use a pipe wrench to work the shaft back and forth to break the rust loose. This is just an opinion for a starting point. The issue could be inside the brake housing.
