I was fortunate to be invited to go to Kinze Manufacturing over to Williamsburg Ia. We toured the manufacturing plant. wow! the plasma cutters, the welding robots, the huge 90 ton presses. They work with the employees, to become more efficient. Everything is American made, most parts are made on sight except the tires wheels and hoses, and maybe some other little things. They are very efficient. The tour was first class, individual head phones you could very easily hear what was being said. We road around for 2 hours on several carts hooked together. Then we went to look at kinzenbaughs tractor collection. Here we walked but, every time they opened another door or to take us to another building it was just amazing. Tractors stacked on steel shelves 3 high and on the ground floor 2 deep. and buildings with 2 stories. Mostly IH and JD. Even late models, many unusual. there were AC, Ford, Oliver, Case, Cat, small scale ( maybe 1/3 scale that that operated a matching MH clipper combine) and many others. We saw tractors repowered with Detroit v/8s. A two 2 cyl JD with 2 JD engines hooked side by side, with one 180 degrees opposite. so when one engine was coasting the other was firing. Sounded like any other 4 cyl engine. Harold

According to the Kinze web site, factory tours have to be scheduled for week days at least 48 hours in advance. innovation center may be open all week days without appointment. Tractor collection tours are by his invitation.
