Through the years I have seen Allis Chalmers spelled many ways but this takes the cake.

I can't even begin to understand how they got Allison Charmer. How hard can it be to spell? It's right on the machine in most cases!

Easy to figure that one out! After being on those old green and yeller tractors and start using an Allis Chalmers it feels like it is Allison powered and without that confounded pop pop pop you are totally Charmed.
Just natural in thinking your on an Allison Charmer.

Probably helped by an automatic spell checker in a smart phone that doesn't have Allis Chalmers in its dictionary and a user that didn't really do a careful people spell check.

Back in the DOS days I used to laugh at what a spell checker did to Iowa town names like Winterset, was always suggested to be Winteriest. I was using that computer for amateur radio packet messages. Try spell checkers away from this web site with Allis Chalmers and there will be a variety of "corrections" all wrong.
