we installed new rubber wheel seals (got from Steiner )
now wheels drag hard and you here a rubber screeching sound
any fix for this

Are you sure the noise is from the wheel seals and not the brakes? If it is the wheel seals, it should subside after you drive it a little.

driven it quite a bit
if I pack the back side of seals with grease would that help

Before I would try that, I would check to see if everything is assembled correctly. Is the problem only on one side? I can't see why you should get any noise from the seals, if they are installed correctly.

Spray WD40 around the seals and they will stop squealing.
Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.
