You might have hood fitment issues. A friend of mine put a 16hp into a 101.
The 101 had a 23D 9hp engine in it. The later model Landlords with the 10-12hp engines would accept a 16. |

It fits but later models did have a different grill frame to accomodate the syncro gears.

have to measure the width of the blower housing and flywheel might stick out a little further but you could just shorten drive shaft a little can the driv e train handle it for farm garden use ?
