Greetings, I am likely to have to repair the steering brakes on my F2. I topped off the fund to the brake reservoirs, but I still have no stopping ability in the Left side, as I am losing fluid. I power washed the entire front end, and see no leaks on the brake lines, so I can only assume I am leaking in the brake assembly. Has anyone had theirs apart? What is the likelihood of an internal leak? How does the system work?

It is the brake cylinder inside the brake housing that needs to be rebuilt. All the pads will need to be cleaned of all oil residue as well.
My dad had to do that many times over the years on his K and F later on.

Take the adjusting nut off the brake cylinder, then remove four bolts and lift cylinder. It will need new piston and two orings. If it has leaked for a long time you will have to clean up band and drum. MACK
