It has the pickup attachment. Should not need the paddles with the pickup attachment. If you needed them they are easy to make.

What all is different about the operation of the pickup attachment? I am going to look at it tonight, any advise on what to look for?

Any rusted out panels. Check the concaves for rust out. Check the canvas for mice holes and tearing. It all can be fixed, just need $$.

Westfork, thank you for the info. Quoteing the seller he says " only needs a few bent paddles in the back to work" After watching your videos and others, im getting darn excited to take a look at it, best part is its only 15 mins down the road from me.

A few bent paddles in the back sounds to me like he tore up the raddle chain which is the big chain in the back of the machine that runs underneath the straw walker. If that is the case he could have also damaged the walker and that will not be good. As for the pick-up attachment, I don't think that will interchange from a 66 to a 72 because they are totally different heads meaning the 66 is a canvas feed head and the 72 is an auger feed head. The pickup attachment is for specialty crops that you mow/windrow then combine. It doesn't have a sickle so you can't cut wheat, beans, or anything. pickups are more rare and desired by people that have a need for the pickup.

Well i got it home last night, over all it is in pretty good shape and seems to have been always cleaned out after use as there is no rust thru, I hooked it up for a bit last night and everything seems to work with all adjustments still free, the straw walker works and there is only ONE "paddle that is slightly bent and rubs. Shouldent be too hard to straighten out. Teeth do not seem to be off. The canvas does not have any holes in it and does not seem to weather checked.
Ive noticed it still has the sickle bar in operation underneath I was hoping maybe it could still do beans etc with that? If not maybe i will try to trade/ sell it to somebody who needs this pickup for a regular one. Taylor. P.S. Pics to come tonight  Also is it normal for the canvas to stop for about 5 seconds every 30 seconds or so? Or is something hanging up?

On the the bottom roller for the canvas on each side is a bar u push down to tension the canvas, and you release it so it dosent stretch the canvas when not in operation.

They were both engaged at the time, guy i bought it off of had a 72 he was keeping, showed me a few tips.

You have to loosen the bolts that connect the draper ends and pull the slatted end of the draper then retighten the bolts.

To cut beans with it, you'd need to take the pickup attachment off and find a reel to put on it. With just a sickle and no reel, you'll just push the beans over and not cut them.

Sounds like i need to get measurements from some one and make a reel, the biggest problem i can see with that is who ever put the pickup attachment on, took off the pulley for the reel i imagine that would be a PIA to find. If not i might have to sell it and keep an eye out for something more suitable, im 22 and just picking up equipment i can afford to try and get my foot into farming within the next year or two. That or poor tension..but I will say on the rubber drapers it will stop doing that after the machine "warms" up...not sure why that is as youd think it would get looser the warmer the draper gets. allcropharvester.com

When the combine is not in use you lift up the top draper and move it forward all the way to relieve the tension from the canvas. The lower draper has cams or leavers at each end of the lower roller just behind the cutter bar to release the tension.
