Here's a photo of the oil leaks Don. The far left leak is from the hand clutch seal. The largest spot in the middle is the leak coming from between the clutch housing and the torque housing. It's not coming from any where near the belt pulley or anywhere inside the frame near the belt pulley. It's not wet anywhere above the very bottom of the case. The hydraulic fluid no longer reads on the dip stick. These puddles are 6 hours old. A drop of oil drips every 2 minuites. I can't wait till the reservoir is empty. The very front larger spot is gas dripping from carb and the many smaller spots are from engine because I have the pan off. Everything is 65 degree room temperature. The tractor hasn't been started for weeks. Note tennis ball for size reference.
I just need to know the proper procedure to getting to whatever is in there for a gasket or seal between the cases. Can I unbolt the frame from differential and spit it where the clutch housing meets the torque housing, or do I need to pull the engine and work my way back? P.S. Hurry, dog wants her ball back....... ![]() Edited by Les Royer - 05 Mar 2015 at 4:34pm |

FYI most old tractors mark their territory with oil spots, kind of like your dog will make his territory with well you know. lol

I use that "twice as good" oil dry from Sams club.
My trick is to always park in the exact same spot. |

If you'd put grating in that floor, you'd never see it. OR, park in on sand. Only shows a small dot.
![]() I feel for you. You're gonna half to dig into it if you want to fix it. ![]() |

Don was kind enough to mentor me on this one. Gonna be giving him a call after the meet. Looking forward to the exchange. He said it's a 6 hour fix. That translates into a 6 day fix on my time.
