My father an avid Allis fan and collector recently passed and left behind two beautifully restored tractors and I have no idea what they are worth and the best way to sell them? I would like them to go to someone who appreciates them as much as my father did, So I figured I would ask the experts.
1954 WD-45 with a wide front end SN# 188248 1942 C SN# 12397 Both fully restored, new tires, new paint and perfect metal Thanks for your help in advance

Without seeing pictures and if they are 100% correct and to the T, I would say the c is probably worth $2500 to $3000 and the 45 wide front probably in the $5000 or so range. Again that's without pictures and assuming they are 100% restored to the T. This is also without mention of accessories such as wheel/front end weights or cultivators, etc.

Any mechanic work that was done would also help price.
Engine rebuild ,new clutch, starter ,generator rebuild .etc. things like this . |

That looks like a pretty well done WD45. I can't tell too much. WD45s are all over the place. I saw a perfect specimen with every detail done right on Ebay for $7500. I have seen some very solid hard working WD45s for anywhere from 1100 to 2500 depending on condition. If its show quality you could maybe get $5000 but then again most folks I run into that like that stuff want to do most of the fixing up theirselves. Me included.

My estimate would be $2500 for the WD-45 and $1500 for the C. These are top dollar prices, if they are in excellent condition.
They are not rare, not in high demand and, unfortunately, they don't bring high prices. As we all know, restoring tractors, especially common tractors like the WD-45 and C, is not a moneymaking deal. You can seldom get back what you have invested. You can ask what you want, but, if you want to sell them, that is what they are going for. |

Sorry to hear about your father.
He had some nice tractors. The picture of the WD45 looks real good. Prices are all over but the recommendations here will get you in the ball park. Regards, Chris |

Sorry for your loss. Looks like your dad took real pride in his tractors. I haven't seen this option offered yet so I'll suggest you check into an online auction. I bid on a local tractor my late FIL once owned, 1937 COOP, but it went to someone in MI for more then I thought it would bring. Don't know if you can set a limit, this was on Auction Time. If you try Craigslist or something, start at the high end, you can always come down.

Also, make sure you want to part with these. If they were "family" tractors you might want to keep them? Once gone, hard to get them back.

Thank you everyone who weighed in, I truly appreciate your help. I will have better pictures of both tractors soon and they will be for sale. I just don't have the space to keep them.

I too am sorry for your loss. I forgot to mention that earlier. My WD45 is my pride and joy. I don't know what I could get for it, simply because I don't plan on selling it...ever. There are a lot of great guys on here that could tell you pretty darn quick. There are maybe some interested buyers as well.
