Is there a modern alternative to the neoprene cement AC used to adhere rubber gaskets to metal like on dozer final drives?  i am calling Minnpar to order a gasket  to fix my leak but I will be need to adhere it to the final drive housing.
I plan on asking minnpar about it but was wodering what others are using.

Caterpillar have their version of it Cal, but I dont like the price tag. I use upholsterers glue (Ados F2). Works just fine. Also use it to stick gaskets to oil pans and anything you want them to stick to. Diesel mechanics put me on to it many years ago

GM weatherstrip adhesive, or contact cement also work pretty good.  Also indian head shellac works pretty good, too.

the 3M 847 I used and when doing repairs on production machines where i worked we used for many things as it held up to oil, acids and caustic , So many a gasket or seal was put in with it as the sealing or gasket compound to prevent leaks , we had it in tubes and 1 qt cans and used a paint brush to apply it .
