Working on a 5020 four wheel drive with a model 64 snowblower on the front. The electric clutch is bad. Where would I look to find another clutch?

Good luck, got one from AGCO for about $800, lasted about an hour.  Bought a used Land Pride rear mount for $650 instead.
Simplicity dealers may be able to get one too.

Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives.

That is what I recommended.I wonder if an electric clutch from a larger lawn mower could be retrofitted?

Good to hear from you Ted.

I had trouble with the wire they ran for the clutch on my 5020.  It broke inside the insulation.  I also remember having one of the fuses blow causing a problem with it.  Did you hook a battery right to the wire at the clutch?

I was looking for one for a friend for his Case garden tractor and found many when I Googled it.  You just need to know the specs.

Hi Lonn
Can you post a picture of the clutch?
Possibly of it on the tractor.
or can you tell me a better description of the problem with the clutch,
like is it the coil field end, the middle rotor or the armature/ pulley end or a bearing on the coil/field end or the armature/pulley bearing end?

Don't know for sure, but maybe we can help you!

Have a somewhat complete new front electric clutch for a 5015.  No idea how compatible it would be for your application.

My neighbor has the machine. He brought the clutch over for me to see. Says it was red hot. Not much of the coil or wires are left.

There are many electric clutches available but would have to get the specs of the original then retro fit a new one.

The Allis-Chalmers 5020 is the same as the Simplicity 9523
and similar to the Hinomoto E23 and Massey-Ferguson 210.

http://www.jackssmallengines.com/Products/SIMPLICITY/Electric-PTO-Clutches

i have found that some ac pump off of a car/truck
had the same clutch that you can change parts
or machine to fit
For proper ordering, reference Warner or
Ogura part number stamped on clutch

I have an AC 5015 that needs a new PTO clutch.  Do you know what might work to replace this?  I am new to this sort of forum...but really need this to work!  I love my tractor...and don't want another mower.
