I want to haul a bunch of stones up a grade with my freeman loader. Would I need to some weight on the rear? If so, what kind?

We have wheel weights, and CACL in ours. Ours still gets front heavy, so, yes, I would think you would need something.

Keep your bucket as low as possible and BACK up the slope, you still need ballast.Widen your wheel tread as much as you can , too. Gary

I have never used a loader tractor that had to much weight in the rear, I would think you will need some weight back their if you plan to carry very much in the bucket at one time.

Jim, Just be VERY CAREFUL! I have lost several good friends and customers on tractors with loaders.
Listen closely to what Gary says. Keep it low.

I hook up to my 8 ft. snap coupler disc when I need extra traction on my WD.
Simple and fast way to add and remove rear weight.

I tipped mine over on basically flat ground. I had the bucket low but it slowly swung over til it met the radiator then the tractor started tipping. The further it tipped the higher the bucket went even tho I had the lever all the way down by then . It was slow enough that I was able to get off and out of the way. It was a HUGE rock I was moving and the tractor was a tricycle.
Just be very careful. It's amazing how easy it is to tip a tractor.
