I took the head off my 17 diesel and there are cracks running from the injector holes up to the face of the combustion chamber. Does this mean the head is junk or is it still useable? The cracks are inside the combustion chambers...on all 6 cylinders!!!

Probably just a stress crack...... if you cleand alot of those 262 heads, 99% of them would look like a road map with all of the cracks in them.  Have it pressure tested and if it holds pressure and non of the cracks are going near a water jacket, run it.

The right engine machinst can do a pin and stich and when he is done you will not know the difference.......of course this can be done.....for a price $$$$$
