Well, just got the D-14 and equipment ready for the tractor show this weekend. My grandfather bought this tractor new in 1957 for my dad, age 9 at the time, because it had power steering. My dad was struggling steering the '47 WC. It really turned out great. We are still looking for some original wheel weights, if anyone has some available.

this is as nice of a 57 d14 restoration that i've seen here on the site. these tractors were orange upon orange except for the silver back rims. you've maintained the tractors' integrity very well. the conversion to 12 volts is a must.....my grandfather also bought a 14 in 57. he traded off a 45 for it. with the tractor he purchesed a set of front/rear cultivators. no power steering though. the 14 steered so much easier than the 45, to say nothing of the difference between the 14 and our old 40 model wc, that we never once complained about the 14 not having ps. we continuing using the old 53 series 2x14 sc plow that saw service behind a wd, then a 45 and finally the 14. on the 14's best day it could never yank around a 3x14 here in the ohio valley clay like you have pictured. i think your plow is a 60 series. none the less, the 14 didnt perform as well as the 45 it replaced but at the end of the day that little 149 cu incher sure used a lot less fuel than a 226. all in all a great 35 hp tractor...........next time you post a picture, set those rear wheels out about 50% and stick a belt pulley on that pup. then stand back and look. what a great tractor you have there......best regards tp studer, wooster,ohio.
