Combining beans and the steering and header up and down doesnt work.  I figured that it would be the hyd pump just wondering if that would be likely.

That is a 1980 model and would have a tan colored cab interior. If it is a hydro model, you have a twin-section gear pump with hydro charge being supplied by one section...that is why it's important to make sure the belt is on, as you will destroy the hydro if the charge pump isn't working. Make sure the machine will move before anything else, if it is a hydro. The second section is for your steering and header lift (and all other hydraulic functions as well). I'd be thinking internal pump failure of the steering/lift pump section.

Will any other hydraulics work? Make sure the pump shaft is not broke. They will break just inside the outer bearing and belt will be tight. Try to pry the pulley away from pump. MACK

1981 was first year of tan interior, but you got everything else spot on.

1980 and up machines kept the belt on much better due to a new idler and spring arrangement and double (versus single) belt.
