Does anyone have old dealership photos, from the 1940-1960's time period? Working on a cool project, and I need some good photos of like the front side, or inside also.

You can email them to me, or PM me, or post them here.

I appreciate your help!

This should be really cool when done.

Thanks!

charlie in the last photo seeing that sign I know where one is exactly like that laying on its side catching water in a building falling down, and he wont sell it to save his life, I asked about a year ago again and he said no, so I tried to get him to let me help him get it down from its spot in the rafters and load it up and take it to his house and put it in his garage so someone didnt steal it or it go to pot completely and he wanted to leave it there, huh sometimes I dont get people

I like the Ford vs. Allis picture. Big city parking meters and all.
Notice the hotel next to the Ford dealership. Ford breaks, stay
at hotel. 1950's American economic synergy!

We need a 2012 picture of this. Dealer on every corner is a drug
dealer, hotel is you don't want to know?

Luke your sign is BEAUTIFUL! Where do you live at in Iowa? No I won't steal it! And what is on the front of the WD or WD45 in the background?

Then it is interesting on the next post with the AC dealer across from the Ford dealer that the AC dealer was also a Minnie Moe dealer...anyone know what town that is in? It looks like is says tri county on the side of the building.

I live 9 miles east of Oskaloosa. A grille gaurd i suppose, we took that pic at a friends shop the day we bought it. It came from a dealership here in town that closed in the 50's. It has never been outside or left the original building till we bought it. Its not perfect but i like it.

That first 2 pictures ares in Clay City Ind.  My Dad did all of his business with Cordell's until they sold out in the late 60's.  The original picture was posted by Cordell's Grandson.  The two men are Harold (Crocky) Cordell and service man Stu Moore.  I knew them both as a kid before leaving home in 1968.  Crocky and his wife Sis were real good friends of Mom and Dad.  I made some copies and gave to Dad and my father-in-law who also dealt with Crocky. They loved them. Great memories.  Jim

John, Do you have any idea of location of the Hanley dealership. Sure does look like the dealership that was located in Portland Indiana. Believe they closed down in early to mid seventies.
