Tracy, the 500 loader on my 175 has both black iron fittings and hydraulic fittings. I have often thought I would change all of them to the hydraulic style of fittings. Dale

On my 400, they look to be schedule 80 black iron. I plan on changing them eventually.

Tracy, do yourself a favor and swap every fitting to a steel hydraulic fitting. The pipe fittings are an accident waiting to happen. I have to rebuild my Henry loader on the 15 also, I'll swap everything over then. Pipe fittings are made for 150 PSI and are pourous in nature. This leaves imperfections in the castings and a rupture point. They make steel fittings w/ pipe thread to JIC. From that it's simple to stay JIC all the way. Also don't forget to size the suction line 3 to 4 times larger than the outlet to prevent starving the pump when cold and use wire reinforced so it won't collapse. You likely know this already, but I figured I'd through it out there.
It'd be a good idea to check and reset the relief valve also. Some wear or someone tinkering may have it off. I haven't checked the manifold off the parts tractor you saw and I exploded a double acting cyl. on the disc just playing yesturday. Split the cast head like you hit it with a sledge hammer. I've used it for years behind my 17, it lasted 5 minutes of playing behind the 15. O-well, I guess my pump works good.

The loader on my 190XT has 3000 psi forged steel pipe fittings.

The pipe on my 500 loader [factory] was/is steel tubing, 1/2". I bought long lengths from McMaster, need a place to make the bends in them using my originals as patterns. I wrote down the name of original fitting company that somone posted here awhile back. I think best to convert to "new/common" fittings for simplicity. I have all the original fittings and couplers, just not sure it's worth using them. Correctness, you would want to use them.
