anyone know what i could use to temporarily fix a cylinder.  you can take odd the end and see the o ring has a bad spot.  was wanting to haul some hay in tomorrow

Get some natural rope that will wick the oil and expand when wet. Separate the weave till a desired thickness dry will match the O-ring groove. Twist it up tight and mash into the groove with a little thickness cut off each end and overlap the ends. When you install it spray it with light oil of your choice. When you bleed it out it should expand and seal enough to get you by awhile.

try NAPA which might be open today as they have assortments of O rings you can buy individually .

why not switch cylinders? We switched them all the time. We never left a hyd. cylinder on  an implement that was not in it's season of use.
