Picked up a 1939 WC today. Looks like a few minor repairs and she's good to go. It has a couple of modifications that I'll have to find out about but all in all I'm pleased.

tis a beauty. imagine how much of an improvement this tractor was to the owner back in 1939. the wc is a study in ag historical development. sweet.

Great find, looks like good rubber too.
I see a switch mounted under the throttle and one on the electrical box under the gas tank, which is the ignition and which is for the lights?
Different set-up for choke and starter rods.
Modifications look rather well done, suppose engine oil was clean and full as well as antifreeze in radiator also.

great find. It would have had a Magneto from new. I have noticed quite a few that have been updated to distributer ignition at some point.
I think that changes and upgrades like that are part of the history of them and should be preserved. 
The universal answer to all questions is yes, how much do you want to spend?

You do not find very many old WC's in that good of condition, 73 years old. Great find.

My guess is it was repainted between 1957-60 due to the Allis Chalmers decal style which I believe was used on D series tractors.

My '45 WC has the wartime rear end and the original tires all around!
Even had the original Delco battery when I got it....and is all stock.  Steering wheel and knobs are original and in great shape.

I was going to bring the C like I told you but I ordered some parts from one of the sponsors on here and didn't expect my order was going to come from multiple places. Only some of the needed parts have arrived so far.
As for the WC, I need to do some things before I take her anywhere yet.

There is something about the WC tractors that they always seemed so big to me and still do. Probably my favorite Allis is styled WC. TGhat is a very nice WC.
