Here are some more pics of the 180, its last days at the test farm were spent on clean up details, it had a front mounted broom. A diverter valve and some of the mountings are still there.  Before painting we did have the valves ground, new rear tires put on but not much else was done to it. My father in-law pulled a 6 row 385 no-til planter with it.

Have you ever had it on a dyno? What model carb is on it? Is the tachometer special to that tractor? Very interesting tractor, thanks for posting more pics.

That is a very nice and rare tractor. How did it get into your hands? Did you buy it from the company or did they have an auction. Very neat tractor and thanks for the pictures.

Also it looks like it has the hydraulic engaged pto?  Is the hydraulic pump up front driven off the crankshaft?

It has a alt drive tach, and yes the hyd pump is driven off of the crank. My father-in law was friends with some people from the company, he acquired it after deutz bought allis, He and daughter#1 made many trips to west allis and laporte and were given access to much of what they were throwing away. He would have liked to have saved much more but he was a farmer and that was not the best of times, or allis would not have been in dire straights and not sold out. My wife lost her father, mother and brother to cancer, we are trying preserve and show as much as we can, visitors are welcome, Just pm us

Just awesome, where is the West allis brass tag located on the tractor? What area?

Thank you so much for posting more pictures.  Your tractor is a part of West Allis history that so many of us enjoy.  You have a rare, one-of-a-kind piece of Allis-Chalmers memorabilia.  Fantastic!

the tool tag is on the right fender, there use to be a (report all operations to) next to it.  Pics don't show a lot of little things on this tractor such as the pieces added to the fenders, the hood is a little different than production, the changed hyd levers, etc.

How the dealership coming along? The two time that I've been there it just seem like there isn't enough time to see everythink you have, but it is still a great to see what you have done with it so far. Thanks for the pictures and it is a very find 180. Maybe the next time I'm up to Jims I will stop again . take care. Kenny L.

had some time yesterday to work in there, but i am easily distracted.  Found a film on the 190s which was kind of a comedy promo film. Then some others brought the krone rep over so we had to watch the allis big acre haying film, think we found some krone patent infringements. LOL
