looking to buy a carb kit for our d-19, i see 2 different carbs listed. zenith, and shebler. anything i should be looking for to tell which one we have? any input would be appreciated.  is any brand name kit better or worse than the other? thanks, pete

To ID your carburetor, you need to look at the tag. Large bore Marvels, usually have their square tag riveted to the throat of the carb. Large bore Zenith's usually have their tag riveted to the fuel bowl. Either will have the name on the side of the Carburetor to ID the mfr. The M/S carbs ID tag starts off with TSX-XXX followed by three digits. All of the carbs that I've rebuilt for our customer's off a D19, were large bore Marvels. Usually, a TSX-848. BTW, we do carry rebuilding kits that will do the job for you. Our kits do not have new throttle shafts in them, but in most cases, if it needs throttle shaft work, the throttle shaft bore needs to be bushed or sleeved anyway....  HTH

All D19's had the Marvel TSX848....the Zenith carbs were used on G262 combine engine applications.
