Deutz L3 4x4 Question

We recently managed to buy a Deutz/KMD L3 from the original owner.  It is about 1000 serial numbers from the end of the line, and a pretty clean combine.  We are/were happy to add it to the line up.  The question I have is about the Hydro.  It is a different set-up than any of our other L2s, but seems to be a stout hydro.  We would like to make it 4x4.  Can I simply hook up the lines from a hydro rear-axle to the ports on the hydro in the picture, or what all needs to be done?  We have the RWA on several L2s, but I would be in the market for another RWA axle that would fit it as well.  I had heard that an N series rear axle would fit and that might be preferable. I would also consider a parts combine with RWA if we could work out hauling.

We bought a L3 rwa axle from Cooks Salvage about year and a half ago and put it on our non rwa L3. It was a factory Mudhog, according to the parts book, their are two different rwa's. There are two different hydros on the L3's, but they were the same from the salvage machine to ours.  Installation  was not too bad. Be sure to use good blocking and heavy jacks, the back of that machine is very heavy. The hyd. hoses and fittings that go into the hydro came with the rwa, simply took the plugs out and intalled the lines. We have a second machine to compare to. Then ran the wire to the cab and installed a switch in the blank where it belongs, had to cut that hole out. It also makes for traveling with a 6 row corn head better. The back of the machine is heavier with the rwa. We also have a local hyd guy that has the seals and o rings for the fittings that have a tendacy to leak at the rwa drive motors, the ones that Agco says replace the whole fitting for $300, we fixed for about $30. We did look at a couple of N series rwa, but they were not the same width and not even sure if it would fit or work.

Leon, Thanks a lot for the information.  I assumed it was that straightforward, but I was just reluctant to launch into it without some reassurance.  I will just trace the lines off the other RWA combines to try to figure out how to hook up the hoses to the hydro and run a switch. We have a lot of wet wheat and bean harvests down here, so we always like the biggest tires we can get on and RWA when we can.  Does your hydraulic guy just rebuild the swivels with new seals, or does he do something else?  I have seen the rear motors rotated and the swivels totally done away with, but havent figured out how to do it for myself.  Also, thanks for the info on the N series rearends.
