I have a 7040 that has been slipping some in road gear both high and low side of power director no big deal then over 2 weeks transmission brake failed Just wondering how brake is actuated and adjusted also how to check pressures to see if clutch packs are slipping or if it is the main driving disc is slipping weldfixer

Trans. brake most likely is clutch cable adj. With engine shut off take all free play out of clutch, also check bushing in fork at clutch valve.
Slipping in HI and LO most likely torque limator. Could be oiled or worn out.
To check pressure, there is a allen head plug on top of valve for a gauge. MACK
