If they've got too much inlet pressure from an electric pump..what will that do to the inj. timing? on a 7080 that didn't come out with electric pump. thanks, -Wes

It will advance timing at cranking speed and make it harder to start. Could make it knock at idle. Advance screw can be adjusted for the pressure. MACK

what pump are you running, & how much pressure is it rated at?

Ed, its got a carter pump of somekind..didn't think to try and put a gauge after and see what its puttin' out. I'll see if I can do that today and see what I've got. Mack, it sounds like I may be on to somethin' here then.

that won't hurt a thing. When calibrating roosa pumps we typically supply pump with 3-5 psi from test stand, per Stanadyne specs.

Ok thanks, guess I'll keep checkin'..I haven't run new lines from the tank (to try and eliminate air)..they look like they've been on there a while. Though someone has put a hose from the block type filter to the inj pump, and it has a loop that runs about 4" above the fuel filter level, then back down to the inj. pump. im wondering if air isn't gettin' trapped in the top of that loop, but with the electric pump..it ought to push it through. Probably just need to pull the pump and send it off.

I guess I missed what your problem / complaint is? Need more history about what the symptoms are.
