I replacced the swivle that is under the gas tanl that hooks the throttle rod to the rod that comes back from the motor. How do I get the correct RPMs out of the tractor ? Wide open now it is about 1750rpms? Hope I made this clear. Would like to find a shop manual. I was a AC dealer in the 70"s Jim Kiewiet

If you reinstalled the ball socket in exactly the same spot on the link rod, it should run the same speed as before. Adjust/position things differently until you get the correct speeds (idle and high idle).
