Hello fellow Members,
I love the site so far and I hope I can add to it from a different prespective.
I have many Allis Tractors and implements.
Favorite is my 1964 D-14 which I bought new while I was in high School.
I'm looking for a WC with a two row mounted corn picker, or just the picker.
Thanks, Gary,

Hi Gary
Welcome to the Allis Forum - from another Gary. Lots of good info on this site. BTW D-14 were built from 1957 to 1960. Then they were replaced by the D-15. My Dad was an Allis Dealer at that time. Gary S.

Greetings R.W.,
Thanks for dropping me a line. I really didn't have any idea what I was getting into. I'm glad I joined the forum.
I'm going to drop some photos of the tractors as soon as I figure out how to do it here.
I'm very blind, so everything I do takes a long time. I get a new operation on my left eye March 6th. I should be able to see again a few days after. However, for now I'll try to make this work.
I was rasied in Dickenschied, Germany (Deutschland) and even though I was born in Wisconsin I had to regain citzenship. It took 12 years, However, I made it in 1989. I visited Wisconsin as a kid, and lived there a few years as a youth, however, returning to Germany.
My fanisnation has always been Allis Chalmers, primarily the G, B, and D-14. I worked and went to high school in Portage Wisconsin in 1964. I worked for an Allis Dealer (No longer there) and I didn't get money, it all went into a New D-14. I still have it.
I'll get photos soon, however if you would like to see of our old home and the tractors when they were new, Please go to www.alltrekadventures.com Click Photo Gallery, scroll down and the farm and some of the tractors are there. I own Alltrek Adventures Inc. All my contact info is there as well. Thanks again, Gary

Hello Ted J.
Thanks for dropping me a line. Ya, I'm a transplant from Germany, even though I was born in Portage, Wisconsin in 1946, and at 4 years old I was given to relatives in Dickenscheid, Deutschland (Germany) where I lived most of my life. I became a US citzen 1989.
I've been to La Cross, and bought a WC relic from a guy outside of New Salem, WI.
I visited Wisconsin as a youth and worked as I went to school here in 1963/64. That's when I got my first D-14. I still have orginal sitting in my garage.
If you send me your email address I can send you a film of it cleaning the snow last year, also if you go to www.alltrekadventures.com and click on Photo gallery you'll see some of the Allis I have along with our farm. I think you'll get a kick out of it. Make certain you scroll down to see them. Thanks again, Gary. gary@alltrekadventures.com

Hello David Gibson,
Thanks David for he kind words. I'm rather blind now, so please endure the mistakes. I'll try to put photos in here as I learn how to do it.
I call my home as Dickenscheid, Deutschland (Germany), even though I was born in Portage, Wisconsin in 1946 and given to relatives in Germany and raised there. I visited America a few times and loved the Allis Chalmers. In 1964/64 I attended High school in Portage, Wisconsin (Exchange student) and worked for a local Allis Dealer. I stuck every penny into a new D-14 which I still have,
I'll load some photos as soon as I figure out how to do it.
I have a website www.alltrekadventures.com and if you click photo gallery and scroll down you'll see our old farm and some of the Allis when they were new. Enjoy, also feel free to email my private email address, gary@alltrekaadventures.com I have films of the tractors which I can send, Thanks again, Gary.

Hello Gary,
WOW, It's great to hear from you. Ontario, Canada correct? As you probably know or understand I'm from Germany living in Wisconsin since 1989.
I was born in Wisconsin in 1946, and 1950, I was given to my Aunt and Uncle and was rasied as a German in Dickenschied, Deutschland.
I visited Wisconsin as a studen exchange, and loved the Allis D-14. In 1963/64 I attended school in Portage, Wisconsin and worked for an Allis Dealer. I applied all my money to purchase a new D-14, which I still own. It was in a shed for many years, and I always knew I would make it back to our homestead, and become an American. It took me 12 years, however, in 1989 I made it. I've got a ton of photos of Allis, However, I'm having a little trouble getting it to work so far. I'll figure it out. If you want, you can see some on my website: www.alltrekadventures.com Clicck on Photo Gallery, then scroll down. There you'll see our oldfarm and some photos of the allis when it was new. You always can email me at gary@alltrekadventures.com. If I get your email address I'll send you a video. Thanks again, I really hope you stay in toucch, I would love to come over in Canada.
Thanks, Gary.

Guten Tage Bolivar Boy, Greetings, Hello,
Thank you very much, and yes This "Forum" is great.
I'm very blind, and please excuse my mistakes.
I was born in Wisconsin (1946), however, when I was about 4 years old I was given to an Aunt and Uncle in Dickenscheid, Deutschland (Germany) and raised as a German.
I visited Wisconsin as a youth, and attended a Wisconsin school as an Exchange Student. I worked for a local Allis Dealer, and became great friends with them. All my money went into buying a new (1964) D-14. I still have it.
I'll send photos when I figure out how to do it on this forum, or you can go to my website: www.alltrekadventures.com, click on photo gallery and scroll down to see the old farm and the tractor when it was new. You always can use my email address: gary@alltrekadventures,com. I hope we can stay in touch, Thanks, Boliver Boy, Gary.

Is this the picture? If so it would be an early D14. Most likely a 1957 or 1958. As it has the older style decals and grill. Those changed in late 1959 to a different style.

No this is My Dad's D-14, Mine is the wide front end. This picture was taken in (I Think) 1963, His tractor was a few years old by then. This was the first D-14 I drove. I own it now, and I've got a culivator on it. It's in a shed with bed Sheets over it. The only place where the paint is worn is where he would hang on the fender (Left side). I just love this forum. Thanks Guys, Gary. Oh Ya, the tractor which is hard to see is my grandfathers WD-45. |

The only other tractor shown is a G. There are two of the same picture of the D14. Either way last one rolled off the line in 1960.

Welcome Gary, It is a delight to welcome you to our home.
If you have a narrow front D-14 you have what I think is one of the nicest looking tractor ever made. Look forward to hearing from you and sharing stories with you on the Forum. Good Luck! Bill Long Edited by Bill Long - 16 Feb 2012 at 10:03pm |

I have three of these. My grand father had a large marsh and we converted the WD-45 into a tractor which could run on the freshly frozen marsh so we could cut the marsh grass for the horses. The narrow front end with standard tires would break through the fresh ice and cause lots of problems. My Grandfather decided to change the front ends, and they worked great. However, when we went into plowed fields we needed to change back to the two tire setup. He also made a dual front with TWO car tires which worked even better for the marsh, However, the front liked to always go straaight when you wanted to turn. This always needed the brakes to turn.
