Next step I have got most of the oil leaks on 7045 fixed and have power washed several times got all the crud and oil off engine and drive train. Whats the best way to get ready to paint ? Is there a degreaser that  I can run through tthe power washer?  Also local farm store carries vansickle paint called ac gloss orange is this the same as corperate orange? used vansickle persion orange on wd 45 with good results. One more question is there some where besides agco to get 7045 decals have found 7040 online but not7045. Thanks in advance for responses.

I would not want to shoot new paint ontop of old paint and hope that it sticks.  But if you are going to do that then I would remove any loose paint and maybe use a scotch bright pad and rough up the surface as good as possible and then use acetone in a spray bottle with a rag and wipe down everything real good before painting.

We've had good luck with the Vansickle paint. Use 1-2 light coats w/o hardener and use hardener in the final top coat. This will add gloss, hardness, and fade resistance. I'd say that the A-C Gloss Orange is a pretty close approximation of Corporate Orange. Just because we prefer the later brighter orange we've paint several of our older tractors this color. Our current project RC is going to get painted with the proper Vansickle Persian Orange 1. Good Luck! Kip

So what is Van Sickles PO1? I was at a Tractor Supply store the other day and saw 2 different numbers, but nothing said Persian Orange or PO1.
I guess that was Valspar Restoration series paint. They list 2 numbers but don't list PO1.
