I need a new head for the kohler motor on my 916 hydro mower, but the serial numbers are wore down and unreadable any ideas on how to determine the head I need? And a good place to find parts. Thank you!

If it's 16 HP and it's a single cylinder, it should have 10 head bolts instead of the 9 bolts the 10 thru 14 HP engines have.
This would be the Model K341.
I'm pretty sure I have a NOS head for one of those around here somewhere.
If that's what you need and if I can find it, I'd sell it for $40 plus shipping.

You can download the Kohler service manual from of all place Kohler's website....Google Kohler engines to find it...otherwise you'll end up in the plumbing department......
