Tonite I finally got my D19 steering box all back together and put that and the narrow front on. I took the wide front outside, so I decided to take the 6 bolt hubs off of a d17 narrow front I had in the shop instead of stealing the ones off of the D19 wide front outside. Long story short, I think the hubs are the same, but the bearings, I think the inner bearing, is bigger on the D19 narrow front then on the D17 narrow front. Funny thing is after I got both hubs off and started cleaning the bearings, I have two different size bearings on the inside from one hub to the other. One is a timken inner bearing and it has the same number as the ones I have on the shelf for the hubs on my WC. But the race is loose in the hub but the hub isn't egged out, and the inner bearing is too small to go on the D19 narrow front but is loose on the D17 narrow front. But the other bearings work on my D19 narrow front but are way loose on the D17 narrow front. So all of the bearings in my D17 narrow front were a mixmatched pile of poo, and the result of it, is one side of the narrow front is egged out and the inner bearing wont' sit on there worth a crap, so that either needs to be built back up and machined down, or that narrow front is shot. And now tomorrow night, I have to go out in the snow and rob the hubs off of the D19 narrow front and hopefully I will have some decent races and bearings to reuse, but one hub has wheel studs in it, and the other has threaded holes but some are egged out and they used long wheel bolts and nuts on the backside. So I guess to do things right I should put studs on the other hub also. Or just use the D17 6 bolt hubs and the bearings/races from the D19 hubs. Decisions, decisions.
Well, I guess the D19 will stay in the garage for a couple more nights. Boy it's funny the things you find all rigged up on tractors sometimes.

Did some research on the AGCO website and the inner bearing cup number between the D17 6 bolt hubs and the D19 6 bolt hubs are the same, and the hub numbers are the same as well. But the inner bearing numbers are different, because of the difference of the thicknesses of the spindle between the two. Learn a new thing every day. Question, what is the difference between a D15 and D17 narrow front, or will a D17 narrow front work on a D15?

When I had my 15 diesel apart a few years ago the front steering bolster looked the same as the 17/19's. I can check my parts info tomorrow, but I assume the only thing different from the 15 to the 17 is hieght of the pedestal similar to the difference in the 17 to the 19?

I think you're right. It must be shorter. The AGCO parts book shows different numbers between the two. I always wanted to put a narrow front on my D15.
