I used to see Gleaner combine office chairs in area Allis Chalmers dealers' offices.  How many years did AC offer these?  Who made them for AC?  I would love to find or make one some day.  Any one have pictures?

I would think they were probably made by the same manufacturer as the actual combine seats. Fred in PA has a couple of them. 

10 various B-series garden tractors, AC Homesteader8, 416 hydro,710 gt, 914, 916H, 917H, 920D, and many misc attachments

Most I have seen were brown and gold.  I have only seen one with green in the fabric thanks to Deutz.  I assume these were the last of the dealer chairs.  Any info or pictures?  Thanks!

My uncle used to have one.  Of course, he was a dealer that sold a lot of Gleaners.

   I have a couple that are dark gray.They were also available later in a brown plad. These were actual combine seats and another Company installed them on the base and shipped them out of Minneapolis.
   They were available in the mid-70s and used mainly as dealer awards but were later listed in the price book. A 1983 book lists the brown one $342.00.

Fred, I forgot about the black and white chairs until after my last post. These were "standard" seats and the others were "deluxe" models. Its hard to remember back 27 years!!!

I got the seat out of our parts F2 sittin in my shop.  Same as the left one pictured in Freds picture, only it has the combine base on it.  Sure is nice to sit in.

 they are very easy to make yourself,  Ive done two already,  there are plenty of wrecked N6's around, as are used office chairs, just remove top and mount combine seat, takes some modifying, maybe an hour or so.  the nicest one if i can remember came from an 82 golden harvest edition.  It's brown with the dark(almost black) headrest and armrests.

I have a Gleaner seat from an N7 and I got an idea. My wife likes to go to the high school basketball games and the bleacher seats are hard on the backside. I need to make a hook that can go around and under the front of the bench and bolt it to the Gleaner seat. Let the game go into triple overtime. Gleaner got my back(side).

I Have two out of Ns. Still has the base that was in the combine and I just made a square base and put some rollers of an office chair and use it in my office. They are sure comfy.
