Does anyone know if there is a company that makes replacement/aftermarket moldboards for snap coupler plows? No model in particular. Looking for a 3 or 4 bottom, and most I come across are pretty wore out. Depending on price of moldboards I don't mind rebuilding one, but I can't seem to find any. Even my Allis Chalmers dealer coudn't think of anything off hand. Would be nice just to find a field ready 4 bottom in or around Ohio. I work full time as well as farm, and it's kind of hard to drive 2-300 miles to pick something up. If anyone knows of anything I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Auctioned off last month. Gone forever. Think Balster's of Scotch Grove Iowa. That's the company that disappeared.

It got spread all over as far as I know. Things like quarts of oii for Model T fords were said to have brought over a thousand bucks. There was a feature a couple weeks ago on the sale results on Market to Market http://www.iptv.org/mtom/default.cfm. It was very well advertised and a several day sale. Included most of the town of Scotch Grove.

http://www.wearpartscompany.com/ is one. Last time I researched them, 387 bottom wear parts were the only one being made by anybody. http://www.wieseindustries.com/347966-plow-moldboard_v_2616_-1,79,219.cfm makes them if you can find a dealer that deals with them. Tim

Outside of an old stock part here and there your out of luck. As Tim said the only A-C parts generaly available are for the 387 bottom and dont look for that to be much longer what I have been told. That being said AGCO has,or had a few misc parts for the old plows until stocks are sold out but when they price them you want to be sitting down, maybe I am a cheapo but I quit even calling AGCO, either not available or priced for the Walton family. Some parts can be adapted with little effort. My 9000 plow has #375 bottoms and I am adapting 387 landsides and points from Shoup and found a IHC shin that is very close at our local TSC. Moldbords will be tougher to adapt and when you price them you will likely continue to look for good plows anyway. Another good direction is a buddy or two in Illinois where it seems to be lots easier to find plows that are not completely worn out. I have three here that came from that state. Good luck.
