What all do you run into trying to remove old pulley for a new pump?

Anyone have (or know where to order) new Water Pump ( for DIESEL, 4.2 Perkins) with PULLEY assembly too?

Can't locate a water pump(diesel) with PULLEY already attached?

AGCO  is almost $300 and you still have to press pulley, hub, & pump together?

What can happen if you try to press at home? ha!
thanx for any suggestions?

Just make sure when installing pulley to do it correctly. Remove pulley by pulling against hub only, install by pressing against hub only, and this after supporting end of pump shaft. If pump shaft is not supported, it can damage bearing assembly. HTH Tracy Martin

Swapping the pulley is not complicated but it does require a bearing seperator and a good press to be precise and to insure not damaging the new pump or pulley. if you want to make a road trip to Mocksville I'll be glad to change it for you. If you have a favorite machine shop close by they can probably do it in about 10 minutes.
