i was doin corn todayand this sounds funny but on a hill not real steep with right side of combine on lower side,the slip clutch for raddle will slip. if ya turn and go the other direction it is fine . i have new spring and slip clutch and raddle is 2 years old what cam make the chain hang up like this?

How are the idlers down front? My old K2 did similar things once and awhile until I quit greasing the slip clutch so often.

Check out Mack's advice. They wear thin and crack then catch raddle bars.

don't grease slip cluches. Ours get one shot of grease before they go to the field each season. that's it.

found put it was the idlers both had bearings bad and the one on right had no flange should pay little more attention to thesr things. thanks fellas for the info

I used to have tons of trouble with my raddle in corn until I replaced the front sprockets and opened up the concave so I have whole cobs coming out the back. It rarely happens now.

Good idea to pull the front cover off raddle and clean all the trash out after harvest.Keeps from collecting moisture and rusting out cover.

I went to adjust the raddle on my K2 once and pulled that bottom cover off, my idlers were whipped. How that chain never ended up destroyed or in a wad was simply amazing, I replaced them and went back to work, very fortunate.

At the end of a season - or beginning of a new season, take the front raddle cover off. Run the combine at full throttle with separator clutch engaged. Watch the raddle run for tracking straight, idlers turning, & slack. Adjust idlers to even tracking straight, etc.. Also check the rear drive sprockets for wear.
Like others already said, take the front cover off at end of season & place it in the cab. That way, you will have to do what I mentioned above before running it. Just a good practice. To me, replacing a gleaner E, K, K2, F, F2, or F3 raddle chanin and/or its false floor is the worse possible repair job on these machines.
