I have a tire that has a hole in the side wall the size of a quarter maybe. The tire is almost new and with lots of years togo in it. Can you put a patch on the inside wall to cover the hole and run a tube in the rim? Its is on a allis c.

I had a 13-6 24 Friestone where you could see the tube between the lugs. I had a boot put in it 5 years ago and it's still going. Use the tractor near everyday. Hard. Most all tractor tires use tubes.

Sure put a boot in it and pretty much forget it. That's the way we used to have to do it even when tires were less than $150per.
You don't really have to be smart if you know who is!

AJ - It was nice meeting you this past weekend.  You must have made it home safely with the Model C.  I've seen you've been posting a lot of questions since you drug her home!  Good for you.  There is no way I could have restored my first Model C without this forum.  There is a wealth of info on here!!!  Good luck with your new project.  I'm glad it found a good home!

you can boot the hole, or you can order a section reliner from gemplers to fit over the bad place

Sounds like a candidate for having someone vulcanize/section repair the injury. It would be the best solution. It would be considered a permanent repair. Check with your local farm tire dealer and he will steer you in the right direction. Eric NY

Has anyone done this with the 2 ply tires for the G?  Seems like the sidewalls split if you just look at them wrong.....

Eldon, I have never tried fixing one of those that way, but I agree the tred is great but the sidewalls are full of holes.
