hello, I just bought a wd ,it came with another block because the original was cracked.the new block is stamped 45-8895-g, does that mean its a wd 45 engine and if so will it fit in the wd. Also is the head the same,i believe the crank is different and probably the rods is that true?It had m&w add power kit in this new block ,but was set up and one cylinder sleeve cracked from water in the cylinder and the head is real rusty so i would like to use the head off the wd if possible.Any help would be appreciated ,thank you

Measure the height of the head, if they are the same they will interchange with no changes. If they are not the same they will still interchange, you just have to use the right parts from the old engine. The rods are the same but the stroke is longer on the 45. The sleeves may not be the same if the WD was original, 4 vs 4-1/8 in the M&W kit. You won't know until yoou pull the engines apart and measure them.

Where is the block cracked? Most AC blocks are cracked between between #1 -2 & 3-4 pistons. If this is the case and it's at the top don't worry about it.
