I picked this up yesterday afternoon in Canton, Pa.  I have a few questions and the first being what is the model #, the second being does anybody have a manual for it, and the third is what is the bumper on the back of the first picture where the wagon hooks up to for?

This looks like an early model and it was just called FORAGE HARVESTER with no model designation. The later version of the same harvester was called a model 50. The bumper on the back was to prevent trucks from damaging the forage harvester. Yours has the pipe extension so it is very likely a previous owner used trucks with forage boxes that followed very close behing the harvester. My Dad and Uncle bought a forage harvester like this in 1953 when they modernized. I likely have a manual but not sure that I have an extra copy.

I have a manual for the 'forage harvester'.  BUT, this one says it is for serial #s 276-18450.  Yours appears to be later than my manual.  If still interested $20.00 postage paid would get it to you.
