    Posted: 01 Jul 2011 at 2:10pm
I own several different styles of Allis G cultivators and am hunting owner or operator manuals for each.  I have a "Dealers Repair Parts Catalog for Model "G" Implements"  (Form D-11 dated February 1953) but do not have any other printed owner/operator literature for these items.

Did Allis publish separate manuals for each implement?  If so, do any members here have and sell copies of them? I'm specifically hunting manuals for:

1. Two row drill planter.
2. Seeder (Ground Driven)
3. Power Seeder
4. Side Dresser
5. Independent Gang Cultivators
6. Single Tool Bar (80 Inch)
7. Double tool Bar (60 Inch)
8. Field Cultivator
9. Single Row Cultivator

Thanks

Dick

I have a book, (AC-O-G IMP) of 11 Operator's Manuals for the equipment built for the G by Allis Chalmers, put together by Jensales Company.
There's a phone # 800-443-0625, it's very small print could have read it wrong.
Try a Google search for Jensales.

All the other manuals I've needed I got from the local Allis AGCO dealer. I find they are very reasonable priced.

TM-21 thru TM-43 are individual manuals for each implement.

I'm pretty sure copies are available and original manuals show up on eBay from time to time.  AGCO has some of these available.

Best regards,

Scott

Hey Scott,  That is an out of sight list.  I am a dealer's son and lived through the sales life of the G and was NOT repeat NOT aware of all of those manuals and technical instructions.  I guess we had them but we put so many implements together that it was old hat to us and we never bothered.
I went to First State Antique tractor show and reviewed the AC manuals there,  I found a manual for a G one row cultivator.  Did not buy.  However, I have a manual for all G implements at home.  It shows all the factory items that can be mounted on a G.  I bought it from e-bay.  Check there
Good Luck!

Bill,

Thanks for the kind words.

eBay, in addtion to being a great resource for parts & "stuff",  is also a great source of information.  Off & on I'll search through the Allis-Chalmers items on eBay and sometimes there are folks selling collections of manuals.  I started a database, indexed by the manual's form number, on Allis-Chalmers manuals.  I currently have 356 manuals in the database.  In just a moment that will be 357 manuals when I add TM-31 to the collection.  Usually I like to have a picture of the manual in the database as well - perhaps I can get a picture of the cover of TM-31 from someone on this forum.

Best regards,

Scott

I was looking at my database a little more carefully and found one more Model G item.

Form TL-584

HYDRAULIC LIFT EQUIPMENT FOR ALL MODEL "G" TRACTORSa

It's an odd 2-page item that was on eBay.

Thanks to all.  This is great information.  I've ordered the implement manual from an e-bay vendor.  Scott, you are an especially helpful resource.  Hope we can meet sometime.  Will some of you G fams be at Hutch later this month?

Dick,

Thanks for the kind words.  I won't be at Hutch but I intend to be at the Annual G Roundup at Gadsden, AL this fall.
