Looks like the one I used as a kid, but ours was dark green.....man I hated running that thing! I'd say the sheet metal above the tines is missing?? Did Simplicity make that for AC, or was it rebadged from another company?

I have one just like that. It does not have the fenders above the tines either. I figured someone had the engine off and didn't put them back on.

I have one like that also. It doesnt have anything over the tines. Must have not had it with 3 of us having them like that.

I also have the Simplicity version of this tiller and it does not have the sheetmetal above the tines either. Was bought new by my FIL and thats how it was originaly.

If memory serves you could get them without the fender. I have one my dad bought new and it did not have the fender.

My parents had one like that except it was green and white. I remember them using it and seeing it jump around if they got into some hard ground. I think the thing is still in the junkpile someplace. It also doesn't have the fender.
