I think the L4 has the 5.9 Cummins. There is no price listed. When I talked to the owner last July, he said that it was a very good and reliable machine. It replaced his L3. I'm not sure if he is retiring or upgrading. Has some other A-C things listed as well.

I knew there were some built in Mexico after they were droped from the Gleaner line but never saw one.
I knew a man who went to work for the co. that was building them after he lost his job with Allis. MACK

The L4 was built by Allis-Chalmers Mexico after Deutz bought Allis Chalmers in the US. The AC Mexico I think was a separate small company. I don't know why they kept a green stripe. Maybe someone here can give the clear details on the company and why the green stripe. Weren't they built about 1990?

Brad, I've never seen a cultivator like it either. It looks like something A-C bought and put their name on. It's very light like a drag harrow with wheels. I think it folds either back or forward. Can't remember.

Yes, the brochure I have is dated 1990, and I believe Russ-neia has posted a letter from Mr. Swenson dated Dec. 1990. I found my original Farm Show magazine article on the L4, but I didn't date it. Swenson from nortrhern ND spearheaded the project and the sales. I don't know who the financing was through.
