On Tuesday, February 1, 2011, I.G. Hall, 10319 East County Road A, Janesville (Johnstown Center) Wis. will be having a complete auction. They started out as an Allis-Chalmers dealer in 1937! Should be a good selection of vintage as well as modern equipment, signage, literature, parts, etc. Sale being conducted by Badger State Auction. Don't know how to post the link, but the sale bill in on-line.

Why do they schedule for middle of the week? I would think a Saturday sale would attract a bunch more people. I'd like to go too, but I'm not missing work to do it... |

Wow. Lots of things there. I wonder why their getting out of the business. I see they have an MF sign that never got out of the box and hung up. Maybe they didn't want to or weren't offered a transition.

I think that's when all the farmer that aren't in South America are tired of drinking coffee for a while. I don't think auctioneers ever worry about a part time farmer with an off the farm job getting to their sale.

By the middle of the week, you want to get outside and get the stink blowed off you....
At least that's what my grandma used to say....

Around here if it weren't for the part time farmers, auctions would be a bust. Auctions always on Saturdays. A few weekday ones in the fall when the calendar starts getting full. |

The reason for weekday auctions is they are cheaper for the seller. At least in my area.

This is one I do wish I could attend. They started a little after my father. It would be fun for me to see the dealership. Perhaps there is something I would love to have.
Good Luck!
