I have been kicking around the idea of building a couple 'foamy' campers.
Most are built strictly out of foam, but would like a little more structure without adding a lot of weight. For reference, I am thinking something like the Tusca brand slide-in camper. I am wanting to make wall studs and rafter one piece. Back in high school shop class we built a couple storage sheds, and used a reddish brown glue to glue the plywood gussets to the rafters, but don't remember what it was. I seem to recall it was a powder mixed with water. Does anyone know what that might have been? |

Looking at the past to see the future.
'53 WD, '53 WD45, WD snap coupler field cultivator, #53 plow,'53 HD5B dozer Duct tape.... Can't fix stupidity. But will muffle the sound of it! |

I don't know what you used, but a few years ago, a friend, who is a contractor, recommended that I use Loctite PL Premium (caulking gun tube) on a project (laminating 2x6 for a pole building).
He said it was the best construction adhesive he ever used. He showed me some wood that he had glued in the past and later tore down. The wood broke, but the glued pieces were still adhering. It's quite inexpensive, easy to find (our local lumber yard carries it) and easy to use.

i personally prefer something that says GLUE instead of ADHESIVE...
AI Overview Titebond III Ultatime Wood Glue is the top choice for a 1-part, ANSI/HPVA Type I waterproof glue, ideal for interior/exterior use, cutting boards, and high-strength, water-based cleanup. Other excellent, durable options include Gorilla Ultimate Wood Glue and Titebond II (water-resistant).Edited by steve(ill) - 28 minutes ago at 8:53am |
