gentlemen,
I have a 1952 AC/WD pulling tractor with an MSD ignition box. My problem is when I turn the key to the off position when engine is running, there is a 2 or 3 second delay until the engine shuts down. Could this be the box or the key switch or something else? all comments and input welcome.

We ran into this once years ago - the alternator was back or fore feeding current after the key was turned off.  Locate the power wire into the box and remove it - if it dies then what every type of charging system you have might be continuing to supply power to the unit in lowering voltage unit it no longer fires. An electric fan will do the same as when the power is off the DC motor becomes a generator - for a while.
