have any of you guys ever changed out the turbo on a 6000 series to one that will spool up faster at lower rpm?
might just be me but i think these tractors do not lugging very well at all

Have you owned the tractor long?? That's kind of the way they are under 1700 RPM. They are only 200 cubic inches. You might check the injection pump timing and consider setting it at 16 degrees BTDC instead of 18 degrees BTDC.
